about

Ed and I wanted to create something dark so we took a walk down on
Dark Street

lyrics

I just woke up in the twilight
I've been sleeping through the day
I think I have a fever but Doctor Death, just shrugged,
Turned and walked away
So I go out walking
To try and cool my blood
I find myself on Dark Street
And the memories, well they hit me like a flood

I’ve been here before on Dark Street
On many other sleepless nights
I never got to see her in the light
But that somehow seemed alright
I remember down on Dark Street
In the pale glow of starlight
I saw the sickle moon reflected in her eyes
But I never wondered why

So I keep walking down on Dark Street
In the stark silence of the night
I hope I get to hold her before she hides herself away
Away from the light
As I near the cold dark graveyard
Chills run up and down my spine
But somehow there is comfort and I know
For eternity, she will be mine

I stroll on through the darkness
I am a creature of the night
I see a name upon a tombstone and I realise,
Here my baby lies, but not tonight
We meet again on Dark Street
And she asks me for my soul
I gladly give that up to her
Her darkness has become the only light I know
